Angry Yakima roof rack falls off Scion xA

I have had two Yakima roof racks installed on my Scion xA, both times by the dealer; both racks have fallen off. We haven't put anything heavier than a christmas tree on either of them. Has anyone else had this experience?

Default make sure to check the proper tension of the Q clips and Q Towers

We've never had an issue with the Yakima Q Tower roof rack system on the Scion xA. Did you have it installed at the same dealer both times? With the installation on the Scion xA it is very important to do a physical Q Clip / Q Tower check to ensure they are properly tightened. (just doublechecking you have the proper Yakima Q clips for the Scion xA too, pair of Q120 clips on the front of the roof and pair of Q7 clips on the rear of the roof top.) Grab each Q clip and try to pull them hard away from your vehicle. If the Q clip moves tighten the adjustment post. If the Q clip still moves, recheck the measurements between the Q Towers and adjust if necessary. This should absolutely get you a properly mounted Yakima Q Tower roof rack system on the Scion xA.

You may want to even try installing it yourself. The Yakima Q Towers roof rack instructions are very easy, and i don't know about you but I would rather put something together myself often times, because at least know you are guaranteed that the installer was paying 100% attention and followed the step by step instructions....
