2 door Chevrolet Cavalier + yakima roof rack?

I was wondering if anybody has a yakima roof rack on a 2 door cavalier?

I have a '97 chev cavalier z24 and I want to put a canoe roof rack on it, but am unsure of how well it would work or whether it's compatible with my car. I also have a sunroof and wonder if the rack would interfere with it.

Yakima Racks has a system made for your 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier 2 door for carrying a canoe. You'll need the Yakima Q Towers roof rack system for starters. You'll need the 2 pairs of Yakima Q14 clips for the 97 Chevy Cavalier 2 door.

You'll also need to get the Yakima Q Stretch Kit. This is an extension kit that works in combination with the Q Tower system and actually spreads the front Q Towwers & bar and the rear Q Towers & bar farther away from each other so you have a much more solid platform to carry long items such as a canoe.

You should then get the Yakima Gunwale Brackets canoe carrier which attaches to the Q Tower system crossbars. This is a really nice canoe rack that will prevent the canoe from sliding sideways, rocking up and down etc.

The Q Tower system will not come in contact with your sunroof but Yakima Racks does state that you shouldn't open the sunroof when you have the canoe on top.
