Default two ocean kayaks on 2003 dodge ram camper shell

I want to carry 2 ocean touring kayaks on the camper shell I have installed on my 2003 Dodge Ram quad cab. The camper shell is even with the cab roof, so using a kayak rack system on the camper shell would definitely be an option I'd be interested in.

Default thule tracks are a good option for your 2003 dodge ram camper shell

An excellent option is a roof mount track system for the camper shell. You start with a pair of the permanent 60" Thule tracks for your truck cap/shell. The 60" tracks can also be easily cut down to the size you'll want for your cap if 60" is too long. You first install the tracks on the roof top and then the Thule 430 Tracker II roof rack base system snaps onto the tracks perfectly and is very quick to install. The Thule 430 Tracker II system includes a set of four 430 Tracker II Feet, a pair of load bars and a set of four Thule TK1 Tracker Kits. The TK1 Tracker Kits snap directly to the Thule 60 inch tracks. The 430 Tracker II Feet then snap onto the TK1 Tracker Kits. Then you connect the pair of load bars to the 430 Tracker II Feet. This system is then very flexible because it is adjustable forward and backward in your tracks, allowing enough space between the load bars to safely transport all types of gear. You can then connect any roof mount Thule kayak racks directly to the 430 Tracker II base rack load bars. You should go with at least the 58" load bars length to properly span across your truck cap/shell roof and also allow enough room on the crossbars for mounting a couple of kayak racks.
