need easy and worry free 2000 ford f150 kayak truck rack

I want to haul a 16+ foot sea kayak on my 2000 Ford F150 supercrew. Most interested in the pickup cab roof and rear triler hitch t-bar mast option. To be honest, looking around the internet I've been a bit appalled at prices of systems and the myriad ways the price ramps up with added features. That said, I would still buy a kayak rack system for the Ford F150 that made my life easier both in loading and worry free transport. Any suggestions out there...

You can't go wrong with the following pickup truck kayak rack solution for carrying your boat on the cab roof and the rear trailer hitch...

1) The Yakima Q Tower Half Pack roof rack will fit your 2000 Ford F150 super crew cab perfectly and is very quick to install. It includes a pair of Yakima Q114 clips (these Yakima Q Clips are specific to your 2000 Ford F150), two upright Yakima Q Towers and a single cross bar. This will be the front cross bar that you will connect the kayak carrier to. The 58 inch crossbar is the recommended length for your pickup.

2) You can then attach the Yakima DryDock t-bar style rack to the rear 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. You will attach the kayak carrier to this as well. Note you will need to purchase the single cross bar to work in combination with the DryDock. Choose the same 58" length crossbar as you are using on the front Yakima Q Tower Half Pack system.

3) Then I highly recommend going with the Yakima Mako Saddle/ Yakima Hully Roller combination. The Mako Saddle/Hully Roller combination works with all types of kayaks and consists of one pair of Yakima Mako Saddles attached to the front cross bar and one pair of Yakima Hully Rollers attached to rear cross bar. This is an incredibly easy and hassle free loading/unloading system, especially if you are loading/unloading the boat alone.
