Looks like Thule Xadapt kits might not work with Thule Pro Series truck racks
Just a heads up on the compatibility of Thule gear carriers with the new Thule Pro commercial/contractor line of truck racks. It looks as though the Xadapts might not work with the Thule Pro truck rack tri-slot cross bars. There looks to be a difference in the design of this tri-slot cross bar and the Thule Rapid Aero elliptical bars with the slot on the top that you slide the Xadapts into. Talked to someone at Thule Racks and they couldn't answer whether the Xadapt kits do work or not. My bet is they don't. So if you want to carry any cargo box, ski, bike or kayak racks on a truck rack you'll want to go with the Thule 421 / 422 Xsporter truck racks. The Thule Pro truck racks are for commercial grade-contractor purposes only.
