Hi out there, dropping a note that the new Thule 487 Traverse Short Roof Adapter is now available. The Thule 487 SRA Traverse works with the Thule 480 Traverse Foot Pack and Thule 480R Rapid Traverse Foot Pack on many cars, pickup trucks and minivans that have 2 doors, a short roof line, greatly curved roof top etc. The Thule 487 Traverse Short Roof Adapter makes these roof rack systems compatible with these types of vehicles because it enables the rear 480 Traverse and 480R Rapid Traverse towers to sit further back on the vehicle rooftop. This effectively distances the front and rear roof rack crossbars further for a safe and secure configuration that allows you to then connect any gear carriers to the crossbars for safely transporting kayaks, canoe, surfboards, Stand Up Paddle Boards, bikes, skis and snowboards, ladders etc.
