Default Does THULE 375 WHISTLE like the XSPORTER does??

I presently own the Thule Xsporter. I'm a carpenter and I bought it for commercial uses (ladders, lumber, etc) so I removed the rubber inserts and installed the load stops. To my surprise this thing whistles like CRAZY, you can here me coming from MILES, its awful. I also bought it because I liked the flexibility of being able to raise an lower the racks. And when I saw the XK1 adapter for 05+ Tacomas I was excited. AGAIN I was disappointed to find out that the rack would not go into the low position, it hits the side of the bed. Why make a adapter for Tacomas if it doesn't fit? So big thumbs down on the XSPORTER! Thule really dropped the ball on the R/D on this one.

So long story short, after all the stress of the Xsporter. I have decided to get rid of it an try the new THULE 375, from the professional series. Does anyone have any reviews of this one? Does it whistle with the load stops in?? Any help would be much appriciated ! Thanks!

Default my tracrac sliding track rack system holds 250 lbs more than thule 375 truck rack

Thule Racks just came out with the Thule 375 Pro truck rack didn't they. I haven't seen many people using it yet where I'm from. It says it can hold up to 750 lbs, thats still 250 lbs less than the TracRac sliding truck rack system that i use. I really like this truck rack and its just about all you see these days. No whistle either! It is more expensive than the Thule 375 Pro but I'd say it's probably worth it even though I haven't gotten a good look at the Thule pro truck racks.

Default Get the Thule 375 truck rack...it's well done!

I bought a Thule 375 truck rack for my toyota tacoma pickup truck and love it...well made, very easy on/easy off, carries a lot and comes with pretty cool load stops to keep lumber from shifting.....doesn't slide like the TracRac track rack but how often do you really need to slide them....espacially on a short bed....mine doesn't whistle and I don't even use the rubber strips for the channels...bigmittens.

Wow thank you !! Thats exactly what I wanted to here!

In response to Cookster. Yes TracRacs are an awesome product, and seem to be the standard where im from as well. But the 05+ Tacomas don't have holes in the bed to install them. So you would have to drill into your brand new truck. With the thule system they make an adapter that locks into the in bed track system. That combined with the much better price makes it a no brainer for me. Im excited to here the good review!!
