Default review of SteelCore locking surfboard racks

Just got a chance to play with a couple new cool products from SteelCore Security Straps. Both are ideal locking surfboard racks.

The first product is the SteelCore Soft Rack / Travel Rack and is meant to be used on cars that have no roof rack on it. There's a pair of locking straps that go through the inside of the car and then over the top of the roof. Then you just slide the crossbar pads onto the straps. The crossbar pads have integrated locking straps attached to them. So all you have to do is load the surfboards onto the pads and then tighten down and lock all the straps using the same key. Very cool indeed.

The other product is the SteelCore Surf Carrier and it works essentially the same way as the SteelCore Soft Rack / Travel Rack except that it's used on any car that has a roof rack with crossbars on it, including factory racks, Thule Racks and Yakima Racks. You just attach the crossbar pads with integrated locking straps onto the roof rack crossbars. Then you place th surfboards onto the crossbar pads and tighten and lock the straps the same way as you do on the SteelCore Soft Rack / Travel Rack. The SteelCore Surf Carrier is basically the same as the SteelCore Soft Rack / Travel Rack except it doesnt have the locking rack straps that go inside and over the roof becasue you are usingthe system on roof rack crossbars instead.

Both locking strap rack systems are great for carrying other gear like a kayak, ski bags, snowboard bags, ladder etc.
