Default 2007 Toyota Matrix surfboard rack configuration needed

Just purchased a brand new 2007 Toyota Matrix and trying to configure a surfboard rack system for it. I want to carry a minimum of 3 surfboards and sometimes maybe 3 or 4. Anyone in a similar situation?

Default Yakima Q Towers / StrapThang surfboard rack is a good Toyota Matrix roof rack

I've found the Yakima Q Towers roof rack system combined with the Yakima Strapthang surfboard rack to be an excellent solution for the 2007 Toyota Matrix. The Q Towers system is engineered to fit your the Matrix rooftop perfectly and is very quick to install. No matter what gear you plan to carry on your roof, you will need a multi-purpose roof rack base system. The Yakima Q Tower system includes four Q Towers, a pair of Q83 Clips and a pair of Q116 Clips (this Q Clip combination is specific to your vehicle) and two cross bars. You can then connect the Yakima StrapThang surfboard rack to the Q Tower front and rear cross bars. The 48 inch crossbars are the recommended length for your roof top. Also you'll need to run a second Strap Thang surfboard carrier system alongside the first on if you want to carry 3-4 surfboards. The StrapThang can handle up to two surfboards, so you'll need to mount a second setup onto the base rack crossbars for the additional surfboards.
