Default yakima 10v mighty mounts will get your ski rack on your 2007 ford explorer

It looks like Yakima Racks is trying to phase out the Yakima Vertical MightyMount adapters (MMV) and goin gwith the Yakima Universal MightyMounts instead. All new Yakima ski racks come with universal adapters for attaching to factory rack bars.

A lot of people do still prefer the Yakima vertical Mighty Mounts however because they are cheaper than the Universal MightyMount version and they are are also made to specfically fit particular vehicle factory rack cross bars. For your 2007 Ford Explorer you'll want a set of the Yakima 10V Mighty Mounts.

Both the vertical mighty mounts and the universal mighty mounts are compatible with any older model Yakima ski racks including the Yakima LiftTicket 6, LiftTicket 4, older model Big Powderhound and Powderhound, FamilySki, SportSki, RadReady, SkiSlopes and MM SkiWing ski-snowboard racks. And again, all new/current Yakima ski-snowboard racks including the FatCat 6, FatCat 4, Big Powderhound, Powderhound, Buttondown and FreshSesh come with universal factory rack adapters included.
