is yakima spare tire carrier for roof baskets discontinued or not? Roof Baskets

What's up with 7076 Yakima Spare Tire carrier for the Yakima MegaWarrior and LoadWarrior roof baskets? I talked to a couple of dealers and they said it was discontinued but Yakima Racks still has it advertised on their website for 2007. Anyone know what the real scoop is on this thing?

I can help you out with this one sputterNY. Yakima Racks has been unable to source the materials needed to produce the 7076 Spare Tire mount for the loadwarrior and megawarrior baskets. However, a new source has been obtained and this product will likely be re-released late this spring or early summer, probably with a new product #. Hang tight and check in with your dealer around the expected relaunch date to see if it's once again available. I'll also try and remember to post on the Car Rack Resources forum when it's shipping to dealers.
