Is a basket roof rack a good choice for 2005 Honda CRV to carry camping gear

Wondering if a basket rack would be a good choice for carrying tent, sleeping bags, etc. on family weekend camping trips for 4 people? My vehicle is a 2005 Honda CRV with no factory rack or anything on the rooftop currently. I've seen a basket rack mounted to a Honda CRV before (think it was a Thule Rack product) and it looked very cool on the car.

You probably saw the Thule 690 MOAB roof basket on that Honda CR-V. And yes a basket rack is an awesome choice for carrying all your camping gear and equipment.
