yakima rack for 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was on 93 Jeep
My dilemma is that I have a Yakima Rack that was previously attached to the side rails of a 1993 Jeep, along with fork bike mounts & ski holders. I now have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory side rails & crossbars. The old Yakima roof rack system will not work on the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee side rails. What should I do?
yakima lowrider towers a good match for 2007 jeep grand cherokkee roof rack rails
Your best bet is going with the Yakima Lowrider Towers. They mount to the siderails of your 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This vehicle requires the 58 inch Yakima crossbars length. So the question is what length Yakima bars do you currently have. If they are the 58 inch bars then you can get just the set of 4 Yakima Lowrider Towers and you can use your current crossbars with these towers. If your bars are the shorter 48 inch crossbars then you'll need to also get the longer 58 inch crossbars. So you will want the complete Yakima Lowrider roof rack system. You can then mount your current Yakima gear carriers to this base rack set up.
