Roof Rack Systems
There isn't a whole lot of difference between a Yakima Q Tower system and a Thule 400xt system, except Yakima bars are round and Thule bars are rectangular. One of the big differences I have noticed is that on cars with wickedly curved rooflines some ski carriers and some kayak carriers tend to sit in the same arc as the roof with the Thule system due to the bars being squarish, whereas the Yakima ski and kayak carriers sit in a flat line thanks to the roundbars. You might also want to check the fit for your car as sometimes one company will be able to fit a car that the other can't. Good luck.
