is it possible to put roof rack and luggage box on 2008 toyota avalon

I am thinking of purchasing a 2008 Toyota Avalon. I now have a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, So I go from a 21 Cubic Foot Trunk to a 14.5 Cubic Foot Trunk and would like to see if I can mount a storage box on a roof rack on the roof of the Avalon. Both Yakima and Tule's web sites say there is nothing available, however looking at the 2007 (and yes they say nothing is availble for 2007 also) there appears to be a rain gutter on the car, although I'm not sure if it is strong enough to withstand the stress. So my question to throw out there is this. Is it possible to put a roof rack on the Avalon and a luggage box or something else. I don't care which manufacturer.

While there are no standard fits for either the 07 or 08 Toyota Avalon, I 've seen a solution that works. Both Yakima racks and Thule racks have tracks that you can bolt onto the roof of your vehicle, which requires drilling through your roof, then you can attach the appropriate towers and bars (yakima control towers roof rack system with LP1 landing pads or thule 430 tracker II roof rack system with TK1 tracker kits) for a base rack then you can carry attach any cargo box or any other gear carrying accessories to these cross bars.
