need advice for 2008 Ford Fusion cargo storage box & other gear carriers

I'm not 100% sure how to go about choosing a 2008 Ford Fusion roof rack system that would include mounting a a storage unit roof box on the roof rack as well as a bike racks, snowboard & ski racks and if possible a surfboard rack, but I can do without the surfboard rack if there isn't enough room on the roof rack to attach a surfboard carrier next to all the other gear carriers.

For the multi-purpose base rack system on your 2008 Ford Fusion I recommend choosing the Thule 400XT Aero roof rack system. The Thule 400XT Aero system includes four 400XT Aero Feet, four 2167 Fit Kit Clips (these Fit Kit Clips are specific to your 2008 Ford Fuaion) and two load bars (the 50" load bars are the recommended length for your Ford Fusion rooftop but see additional notes just below). You will attach the cargo gear storage box, bike and surfboard carriers to the front and rear load bars. If you do decide to attach all these carriers then you will want to go with longer load bars. The 58" bars are recommended for a cargo box and bike racks. While the 65 inch load bars are recommended if attaching cargo box, bike racks and surfboard rack at the same time.

CARGO BOX
Both the Thule 685 Atlantis 1200 cargo box and Thule 602 Ascent 1100 cargo box are superb options for your needs. These cargo boxes will connect directly to the Thule 400XT Aero system base rack load bars. The 685 Atlantis and 602 Ascent both offer excellent cargo volume and are ideal for transporting cargo gear and also work superbly for carrying skis and snowboards in the winter, no need to have to invest in a separate ski-snowboard rack. They are both a perfectly sized match for your vehicle as well. And the Thule 602 Ascent and 685 Atlantis have a narrow width which makes them ideal for using along side other gear carriers such as bike racks, surfboard rack etc. These cargo boxes come with locks included for securing your gear inside.


BIKE CARRIERS
If you prefer a fork mount bike rack (removal of the front wheel required) then we highly recommend the Thule 518 Echelon.
