2000 subaru outback factory rack bars & roof box question

Looking to transport 4 snowboards & gear, camping equipment etc for 4 people on my 2000 Subaru Outback wagon. It has the factory rack already on it and wondering if i can get away with a roofbox or something installed right on the crossbars. Is anyone using a similar setup?
