Bag or Box?

I can't decide whether to carry my climbing gear in a cargo box or go cheap and get a rooftop bag?

Hey davyjones, not sure if you checked your same question that you posted on the cargo bag forum but looks like you got a response from needforspeed. he wrote:

Personally I can't say which is better the Thule soft roof bags or the new series of Yakima cargo roof bags. I gotta say the Thule 866 escape II roof bag is the red hot mama in this category currently. We'll see if Yakima manages to elbow in with their new FarOut cargo bag & GetOut / GetOut Pro roof bags. Also Thule has a new roof bag called the Thule 630 Ranger that has a lock built right into the bag. This is a nice feature if you'll be leaving the roof bag unattended for periods of time.
