Just got word from Thule Racks that the much anticipated Thule 9003 Raceway Platform trunk bike rack is scheduled for delivery to dealers May 2010. Already, we've received tons of inquiries about this car trunk mount bike rack with a very different design. Essentially, the Thule 9003 Raceway Platform is a hybrid between the most technologically advanced trunk bike racks available and the very popular platform bike tray style hitch bike racks. The 9003 Raceway Platform bicycle carrier includes two integrated bike trays, enabling much easier loading of bicycles because the bike trays are located much lower to the ground compared to normal trunk bike racks that use cradles positioned much higher off the ground. Just place the bike on the bike tray, no need to take the wheels off, and tighten the upper clamp onto the bike frame and then tighten the front and rear wheel straps located on each end of th bike tray and you are all set to hit the road!
