The most striking difference between the Thule 513 Domestique bike rack and the other Thule carriers in this category is that it requires absolutely no adapters when clamping the Domestique onto any style of crossbars on factory racks or aftermarket car rack system cross bars from Thule, Yakima, Inno etc. It also has a sweet sleek and aerodynamic design, much different and cooler than the old school black bike tray design. The Thule 513 Domestique can also simultaneously lock the bike to the rack and the carrier itself to the car rooftop using an optional Thule lock cyclinder. Also compatible with both road bikes with skinny tires and high profile rims as well as mountain bikes with disc brakes & suspension systems.
