Default Have 2005 Honda Odyssey car rack siderails & need to carry 6 bikes

Curious to know if there is any one out there that has an 05 Honda Odyssey roof rack that they're using to transport 6 bikes? If so, I'd please like to know what car rack system you are using to accomplish this. Having a rough time figuring out what is best and my 2005 Honda Odyssey only has the siderail bars that run from front to the back on each side of the car roof, no cross bars to attach bicycle racks.

Default yakima lowider needed for 2005 honda odyssey car rack system to carry 6 bikes

I really believe the best base rack system for your car is the Yakima Lowrider roof rack system first of all. The Yakima Lowider system includes 4 Lowrider Towers and 2 crossbars and mounts right to your 2005 Honda Odyssey roof rack side rails. You can then mount the bike racks to the Lowrider front and rear cross bars. Make sure you go with the 66 inch cross bars so you have enough cross bar space to connect 6 bike carriers.

Any of Yakima Racks roof mount bike racks will then attach to the Lowrider base rack crossbars. Make sure that when you connect the bike racks to the cross bars you alternate placing the first bike rack forward and the next one backwards etc. This way you will efficiently use crossbar space and the bicycle handlebars won't interfere with each other.
