Yakima SwingDaddy, FlipSide & DoubleDown hitch bike racks released by Yakima Racks

++++ 2008 Yakima Racks Product Release Update ++++

Yakima Racks has begun shipping to dealers the following hitch bike rack models:

Yakima SwingDaddy 4 bike hitch rack
Yakima FlipSide 4 bike hitch rack
Yakima DoubleDown 5 bike hitch rack
Yakima DoubleDown 4 bike hitch rack
Yakima DoubleDown 2 bike hitch rack

The Yakima SwingDaddy is the premium model that offers swing-away functionality, enabling the user to swing the bike rack, even with 4 bikes loaded, completely off to the side to access the rear of the vehicle. The Yakima FlipSide offers similar funtionality except that it flips down (not recommended with bikes loaded) to either side when a knob is pulled. An interesting design that has never been offered before. The Yakima DoubleDown series of hitch racks are economy level offerings and can tilt down out of the way (not recommended with bikes loaded) to access the rear of the vehicle.

With the exception of the Yakima Flip Side these new 2008 hitch bike racks all replace discontinued models from Yakima Racks. The Yakima Swing Daddy replaces the Yakima FullSwing; Yakima Double Down 5 replaces the Yakima KingPin 5; Yakima DoubleDown 4 replaces the Yakima KingPin 4; Yakima DoubleDown 2 replaces the Yakima KingPin 2.
