Yakima FullSwing 4 vs Yakima BackSwing 4 hitch bike racks
I have a Ford Explorer and am looking at a hitch bike rack instead of a roof rack because I can't reach the car roof easily. I pretty much have narrowed it down to either the Yakima FullSwing 4 and the Yakima Backswing 4 and wondering if anyone has any feedback of why the FullSwing is definitely the better way to go or just stick with the Backswing and save some money. Any help would be great!

I'm using the Yakima Full Swing 4 on my Toyota 4Runner and love it!
I had the same issues about getting my bikes on the roof of my SUV and wanted a hitch mount bike rack instead. I opted for the FullSwing 4 from Yakima Racks because in the end it's just a better deal if you add up the accessories that come included with the Full Swing. Most importantly is it includes the Yakima DeadLock single key system that both locks the bikes inside the hitch rack and the hitch bike rack itself to the hitch receiver! You would have to purchase this separately for the Back Swing 4. The other big factor that sealed the deal is the Quickcam lever that allows you to fold down the arms when you don't have bikes loaded up so you can easily pull into the garage or parallel park and stuff.
Beer Bottle Opener on Yakima FullSwing 4 seals the deal for me!
Oh I'm definitely going for that one because I've been known to pop open some brews BEFORE bike rides too, I find it helps to ease the pain on the uphills! Thanks Captain Crunch, the beer bottle opener feature isn't listed in the descriptions I read about the Yakima Fullswing hitch bike rack. Now I have an excuse to load up my Jeep Cherokee with New Belgian Fat Tire ale!!!
