need a 2008 exus RX350 roof rack cargo gear for 2 kids going to college

I'm now making preparations for taking my 2 kids back to college, and I need some kind of roof rack cargo carrier for all the extra stuff that won't fit inside the car! I have a 2008 Lexus RX350 with the factory rack on it. I'm mostly interested in a hard shell ski box model so that we can use it for skis and snowboards in the winter too. Is there a model that would work best on the 2008 Lexus RX 350 ?

I tried to but a Thule ski box but the rear cargo door would hit it and automatically close.The roof rails appear to be as far forward as possible. Any suggestions.

What model was the cargo box? Thule and Yakima both make shorter length roof boxes that eliminate the issue of the vehicle's rear hatch door hitting the rear of the roof box when the vehcile rear hatch door is open.
