2007 gmc acadia hitch bike rack

I'm looking into getting one of those platform style hitch mount bike racks for the 2 inch receiver hitch on my 2007 GMC Acadia. I anyone else using one of these types of bike racks on their GMC Acadia and really happy with it? Would be interested what hitch bike rack model you are using.

I use the Thule 916 T2 hitch bike rack on my GMC Acadia 2 inch receiver hitch. This is a platform style bike rack you are talking about and it works very well. It's really easy to load and unload the bikes, which is mostly what I was going for in the platform style hitch bike rack vs the upright mast conventional style hitch bike racks. The Thule 916 T2 also folds up out of the way when I'm not using it so that I can pull into the garage without clearance issues when closing the garage door.

What I didn't get right away but got later and really recommend them are the locking accessories for the bike rack. Get a 2 pack of Thule Locks so you can lock each bike to the rack. Also get the Thule STL2 snug-tite lock so you can lock the Thule 916 T2 itself to the receiver hitch.
