Default want a kayak rack to carry 2 kayaks on Ford Explorer roof rack factory bars

I just want to get something that will allow me to transport two kayaks 9' to 12' long on my 1989 Ford Explorer roof rack factory bars. I noticed on some car rack websites the kayak rack models that would allow me to transport up to four kayaks on a kayak stacker type of carrier, but I'm not sure if this is the best choice. I just purchased two kayaks and right now I'm interested in transporting just these two on the top of my Ford Explorer roof rack and don't have any forseen plans of carry more than these two.

Default thule 835pro & 835xtr options are best for a ford explorer kayak rack

I highly suggest you look into the The Thule 835PRO Hull-A-Port kayak carrier as an excellent option for your specific needs. In addition to making it very easy to load and unload each kayak the j-cradle design of the Thule 835PRO Hull-A-Port allows you to attach two of them to your Ford Explorer factory rack because it cradles the kayak in a semi-vertical fashion instead of the kayaks laying flat, creating enough space on your factory rack cross bars to carry two kayaks. A very cool feature of the Thule 835PRO kayak rack is its ability to instantly fold down the cradles flat when not in use. Eliminating any overhead clearance issues and a very streamlined look when not transporting a kayak.

The Thule 835XTR Hull-a-Port is exactly the same as the Thule 835PRO except that it does not offer the option to fold down the cradles when not in use.
