can I hang a ford ranger truck topper from garage ceiling using by the roof rack

I have a 2002 ford ranger xlt topper that I want to store and hang from the garage ceiling when not being used. I need a topper roofrack that mounts to the pickup truck topper and will also support the weight of the topper for lifting and hanging from the garage ceiling. Is anyone doing this and want to give me some advice on what components to install?

A good set up is to permanently install a pair of the Yakima 60" tracks to your ford ranger topper roof. Then get the Yakima Control Towers multi-purpose roof rack base system. It snaps onto the Yakima 60 inch tracks perfectly. The Control Tower system includes a set of four Control Towers, a pair of cross bars and a set of four #1 Landing Pads. The #1 Landing Pads snap directly to the Yakima 60" tracks. The Control Towers then snap onto the Landing Pads. Then you connect the pair of cross bars to the Control Towers. This setup conveniently adjusts forward and backward in the tracks, allowing enough space between the two crossbars to ideally transport all types of gear. You can then mount any of Yakima Racks gear carriers (i.e. the snowboard racks, bike racks and camping gear carriers you want to use) directly to the Control Towers base rack bars. I recommend choosing at least the 58 inch cross bars length for your pickup truck topper. You are then able to hang the truck topper from your garage ceiling by the Yakima Control Tower bars.
