Default moon roof set up a problem for a 2006 Malibu Maxx car rack system ???

I'm looking to set up a 2006 Chevy Malibu MAXX roof rack (currently has no car rack components on the cartop whatsoever). The car does have a moon roof configuration and wondering if there's any car rack system available that'll work with these limitations?

Default yakima q tower car rack system works as a 2006 chevrolet malibu maxx car rack

Thanks for your posting spudsmc and welcome to Car Rack Resources!

The Yakima Q Tower car rack system is a fine choice for setting up a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu MAXX roof rack that includes a moonroof configuration on the cartop as well. The Yakima Q Tower system includes four Q Towers, set of four Q102 clips (specific to your 2006 Malibu Maxx) and a pair of round cross bars (the 58 inch length bars are necessary for your roof top). The four Q Towers and Q102 clips connect to both sides of your roof where the roofline and top of the door jambs meet. The towers extend straight up and then you'll connect the two crossbars to the four Q Towers to complete the base roof rack system set up. The bars will be high enough to clear your moonroofs too. You can then attach any of Yakima Racks gear carriers to the two crossbars. Hope this makes sense and good luck!
