kayak racks on 2004 chevy tahoe roof rack (yakima rack)

Took me exactly one kayak trip to realize using just straps on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe roof rack system, its the Yakima Lowrider roof rack, crossbars isn't gonna cut it. Now I'm trying to figure out what's the best kayak rack to attach to the Lowrider crossbars. I'll need two because we plan to transport two kayaks most of the time.

Well you can't go wrong with the Yakima Mako Saddles / HullyRoller kayak rack combination. It's currently my favorite kayak carrier system. The Mako Saddle / Hully Rollers combination works with all types of kayaks and consists of one pair of Yakima Mako Saddles, which you attach to the Yakima base rack front cross bar, and one pair of Yakima HullyRollers, these attach to the rear Yakima base rack cross bar. The HullyRollers allow you to effortlessly roll the kayak right up onto the roof rack and then both the HullyRollers and Mako Saddles snugly grip the kayak. A really nice kayak rack system for when just one person is loading/unloading a kayak too. Get two of these kayak rack combinations for carrying two kayaks. The crossbars on your 2004 Chevy Tahoe roof rack crossbars (the Lowrider bars) are most likely the 58inch length so you'll have enough room on the crossbars to attach two sets of the Yakima Mako Saddles / HullyRollers combinations for carrying two kayaks at the same time.
