what is the short roof adapter kit I thin kI need for a 1997 Acura CL roof rack

I'm switching my current Thule 400Xt Aero car rack system over to a 1997 Acura CL 3.0 d door model. I went to a local dealer for the Fit Kit clips to fit the 1997 Acura CL but big surprise they didn't have them in stock. They are the Thulw 219 Fit Kit clips. I was checking out a fit guide though and it said i needed a short roof adapter kit to go with the Thule 400Xt Aero car rack. Can anyone verify if this is true or not and what exactly is it? Thanks...

Yes you do need to use the Thule 477 Short Roof Adapter kit with the Thule 400XT Aero roof rack system on your 1997 Acura CL 2 door. The Thule 477 Short Rook adapter kit spreads out the distance between the front and rear Thule 400XT load bars so you have a safe and sturdy foundation to carry items on your rooftop. Without the 477 Stretch Kit the load bars would be much too close to each other to allow items to be carried on them. The Thule 219 Fit Kit clips are correct for the 1997 Acura CL by the way.
