Default Cargo luggage box for 2007 Acura MDX roof rack

Planning a trip for Easter vacation with the family and I'm interested in a roof top cargo box for my 2007 Acura MDX. It doesn't have factory rack crossbars, just the rooftop side rails and wondering if anyone knows what the best set up for me would be. Thanks in advance.

Default have you thought about the thule 866 escape roof bag for 2007 Acura MDX roof rack

Not sure if this could help or not, but if you are only going to be carrying luggage and clothing and stuff, then you might want to consider the Thule 866 Escape II cargo roof bag. It could save you a lot of money. The roof bag attaches directly to the Acura MDX roof rack side rails. I decided on this option for my Acura MDX when I found out that if I wanted to use a cargo box I would first have to attach a base rack system to the side rails. Then the cargo box would connect to the load bars on that base rack system. I was told the Thule 450 Crossroad roof rack was the one I would want for my 2006 MDX rooftop. I originally wanted one of the Atlantis roof boxes, maybe the Thule Atlantis 1800 or Atlantis 1600, but after realizing this whole set up would cost over $700 I decided to try out the 866 roof bag instead and it works really well. I even put camping gear and beach stuff in it.
