Default 2 thule 825 portside kayak racks make a great mercury mariner kayak rack setup

Your best bet is probably the Thule 825 Port Side kayak rack. It's a pretty cheap kayak rack that will attach directly to the 2007 Mercury Mariner roof rack cross bars, saving you alot of $$$ by not having to replace your factory rack with an after-market multipurpose base rack system. Also, the Thule 825 Port Side kayak rack carries the kayak sortof in an upright way, on it's side, so much less cross bar space is used up. So you have enough room on your Mercury Mariner roof rack bars to attach two Thule 825 PortSide kayak carriers. Most other kayak racks carry the kayak flat so your crossbars wouldn't be wide enough to let you connect two of those style kayak racks next to each other.
