no trunk bike racks compatible / yakima q towers & q122 clips are alternative
That large spoiler on the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2door eliminates the ability to use trunk bike racks. Your only option is to use a roof rack system, which works perfectly fine except that you would not be able to open the sunroof all the way. Yakima Racks makes the Yakima Q Tower roof rack system for the 2006 Chevy Cobalt. You will want to be sure to get the Yakima Q122 clips for use on the 06 Chevy Cobalt. you can then connect nay Yakima roof mount bike racks to the Q Tower base rack crossbars (the 48" cross bars are the proper length for the 06 Cobalt as well.
