Those tabs that you have on your 07 Mazda 5 are called FixPoints. This is the new trend in many new model vehicles. The FixPoints allow for an optional car rack system to mount to those points. Currently the only car rack company manufacturing roof rack systems for those fixpoint attachments is Thule Racks...

The Thule 460 Podium car rack system is engineered to fit your 2007 Mazda 5 Fix Points perfectly. The Thule 460 Podium system includes four 460 Podium Feet, four 3069 Fit Kit brackets (these Fit Kit plates are specific to your 07 Mazda 5 and mount to the fixed attachment points located on your rooftop) and two load bars (the 50" load bars are the recommended length for your Impreza roof top). You can then attach a Thule Racks luggage carrier to the front and rear load bars.

Thule also makes the Thule 460R Rapid Podium car rack system. It works exactly the same way as the regular 460 Podium and uses the same 3069 Fit Kit brackets. However it uses the very sleek, low profile and premium looking Rapid Aero load bars. You will need to choose the (RB47) 47 inch bars for your roof top. You can then attach a Thule Racks luggage carrier to these front and rear load bars too.

Then for the luggage carrier itself I highly recommend going with the Thule 603 Ascent 1500 cargo box. Connects directly to either base rack system load bars listed above. The Thule Ascent 603 offers excellent cargo volume and is ideal for your luggage suitcases etc.
