I have a 2006 Toyota Sienna roof rack (factory installed) with the cross bars already and I'm trying to decide between a hard-shell roof box and one of those car rack bags that seem to be getting more popular (judging by the number of them that I see on the highway these days). I like the cargo boxes because they seem to be able to protect the gear really well and also everything would stay dry in the rain or snow. Not sure if a roof rack bag can offer these features. If one does I'd probably get it because it seems way easier to attach and also store when it's not on the car rooftop. Any suggestions? (picture of 2006 Toyota Sienna roof rack setup below)
