best bet is probably the yakima tracks / control towers option on 2008 Subaru Impreza
I doubt Yakima will develop a specific Landing Pad / Control Tower system for the 2008 Subaru Impreza. Whether its the Subaru Impreza sedan or wagon (including WRX / STI & Outback versions) Yakima recommends the Q83 Clips used with the Q Towers and 48" bars. If you do want the freedom that the Control Tower system can sometimes offer by allowing adjustment of the distance between the crossbars for whatever it is you are carrying, then I'd suggest permanently installing the Yakima 54" Tracks to the Subaru Impreza roof. You can then use the Yakima #1 Landing Pads that snap right into the tracks, and you can move them forward and backward along the tracks to whatever position you want. Then just attach the Control Towers and bars to the Landing Pads and you're all set. The tracks are easy to install and look like they came with the car in the first place.
